Puppy found with her tail hanging off

- BY CORMAC O’SHEA

Rescued Pickle A PUPPY was found with her tail partially cut off earlier this week.

She could be heard making “terrible noises” in a green area of a Clondalkin housing estate in West Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.

Two men were seen acting suspiciously with the dog and ran away after they were shouted at.

The pup, which has been named Pickle, was found to have a partially cut off tail with a deep incision.

The DSPCA said the incision was made with a very sharp blade and this is not the first case of “DIY” tail amputation it has seen recently.

It called on anyone who may have information on the latest incident to email inspectors@dspca.ie.
