‘Roseanne may return without star’

- BY MIRROR REPORTER

Roseanne Barr AXED sitcom Roseanne could be revived without its disgraced title character, it has emerged.

The show could be renamed after the 65-year-old’s on-screen daughter Darlene.

ABC is reportedly in talks to bring back the show, which was axed following star Roseanne Barr’s racist tweets row.

It is hoped any reboot would save the jobs of hundreds of workers.

TMZ claimed producers are looking into making the show centre around the character of Darlene, played by Sara Gilbert.

Earlier this week Gilbert, 43, labelled Barr’s offending tweet “abhorrent”.

The show originally aired in the 1990s before this year’s revival.
