Courteney, 53, is set to wed the Snow Patrol star, 41, this summer.

The couple have been engaged since 2015 and songwriter Johnny opened his heart to me at Thursday’s Ivor Novello awards. After picking up a gong for co-writing Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You, he told me: “I am in love even if I am difficult to love. It’s hard to love me.

“Love is hard because it feels like a lot, and if you feel a lot you have a lot to lose and you have a lot to gain. “When something is there it can be scary and it can be hard but overall it is something we decide to work on and we decide to put ourselves into.
