A SOCCER fan who piled in to attack players from his team’s rivals while carrying his child in his arms has been jailed.
Michael Fitzpatrick, 30, held his three-yearold son in one hand and used the other to lash out at players as French side Lille took on home team Everton.
He weighed in as a fight broke out between fans and players during the Toffees’ 2-1 defeat.
Footage of the attack went viral as Fitzpatrick was seen carrying the child in the melee last October.
He was jailed this week for eight weeks after admitting assault.
Fitzpatrick, from Prescot, Merseyside, was also banned from matches for six years. Everton have given him a life ban. Gordon Ramsay
