De Palma to make Harvey scandal film
Brian de Palma A HOLLYWOOD director is penning a film script based on the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Brian De Palma, who previously directed Carrie and Scarface, said he is following the controversy “very closely”.
Weinstein has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of rape and criminal sexual act.
His lawyer said the 66-year-old denies the charges.
De Palma told AFP news agency: “I know a lot of the people involved. I’ve heard stories over the years.”
He said directors have to “get actors’ confidence and their love” and “to violate it on any level is just to me the worst thing you can do, just because of your gluttony or your lust”.
