Tragic coma dad Seamus buried

A DAD who died after spending months in a coma was laid to rest yesterday.

Seamus Bell passed away in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda earlier this month after he sustained serious injuries in an alleged assault.

The incident took place on Main Street in Carrickmac­ross, Co Monaghan, in January. The 36-year-old had been out celebratin­g the baptism of his newborn twins at the time.

Guards of honour were in place as his funeral cortege passed.

After a packed funeral Mass at St Patrick’s Church in Keady, Co Armagh, Mr Bell was buried in the adjoining cemetery.
