Jailed Daniel was a model & acted in TV’S Love/ Hate Shannen with boyfriend Daniel Doyle

The 31-year-old, who was given a two-year sentence after he was caught with hundreds of ecstasy tablets, was discovered without a pulse by staff at Dublin’s Mountjoy shortly after 8am on Friday.

It’s understood doctors managed to resuscitate Doyle, who has worked as a fitness model, but he currently remains in intensive care where he is fighting for his life.

Taking to Instagram, former Love Island star Shannen opened up about her relationship with the actor.

She said: “We have had our ups and downs but you can’t help who you fall in love with or who you love.

“I never ever stopped loving Dano no matter what happened between us. So I don’t care what anyone’s opinions are.

“I was back with him before this devastating news and I’d do anything in the world for him. I am praying he fights his way through this.

“He is a fighter and I know he can. We’ve too much planned and he has too much to live for.

“He’s the love of my life and always will be. I have never loved anyone the same as I love him.

“Please pull through, I am begging God to fix this mess if there is one up above. I love you and I know you know just how much I do.”

Shannen starred on the ITV hit show in 2017 alongside fitness blogger Rob Lipsett but when she came home to Ireland she found love with Doyle.

The couple have been through their ups and downs with the former Love/ Hate star blasting the dental nurse, claiming online she was an escort.

JEALOUS

During their split, Shannen told her side of the story. She said: “My ex-boyfriend got jealous. “He made up claims about me, saying I’m something that I’m not.” It is believed Doyle, of Balcurris Park West, Ballymun, North Dublin, may have ingested something in his prison cell during the night which led to his condition. He pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in February to possession of drugs for sale or supply at his home on November 12, 2014. Doyle was caught by gardai with 446 tablets tested and identified as MDMA, as well as drug paraphernalia, including syringes and weighing scales. A total of €340 was found in the bedroom and €2,800 elsewhere. A source said Doyle is fighting for life and it is unclear whether he will pull through. They added: “Tests will have to be carried out to determine why he ended up in such a condition.” news@irishmirror.ie Daniel Doyle had no pulse when found in cell
