When the centre opened in 1969 around 50 people came and now the volunteers are feeding up to 300 people for breakfast and serving dinner to twice as many. Every Wednesday volunteers give out food parcels – before the recession they had about 400 people coming and now the centre welcomes around 1,600 people each week.

Br Kevin spoke candidly about the Government’s need to intervene in the ongoing homeless crisis.
