Man injured in gun attack

A MAN was rushed to hospital after being shot as he answered the door.

The victim, in his 40s, was blasted in the leg by a gunman who then fled on foot.

The incident occurred at around 11pm on Friday at a house on La Touch Drive in Bluebell, South Dublin.

The man was taken to St James’ Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.

No arrests were made and gardai are appealing for information.
