LIAM LATE SHOW RAISES THE BAR

- At the KCOM Stadium

Hull FC 10 Wigan 14

WIGAN moved to within six points of leaders St Helens after beating Hull in a dramatic finale.

The visitors went for a drop goal to win the game, but when the ball rebounded off the crossbar, they caught Hull napping to score a try through Liam Marshall and end their three-game losing streak.

The Warriors took the lead when George Williams’ kick was grounded by Dan Sarginson. Sam Tomkins made it 6-0.

And Tomkins was on target on the half-hour mark when he added a penalty to make it 8-0. Hull’s attack often let them down, but when they clicked, it worked a treat as Bureta Faraimo powered through to score.

Hull’s problems mounted when they conceded a penalty and Tomkins drew leve.

Then Tomkins’ drop goal rebounded off the bar, and Marshall was able to glide over the line.
