‘DYCE TO BOUNCE BACK

-

ALLARDYCE is a hopeful choice in the featured Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick this afternoon.

The gelding, trained by Edward O’grady (right) comes here off a disappointing run at the Punchestown Festival but he is easily forgiven that effort.

He is a generally consistent and reliable type and he is dropping down in class today which will aid his cause.

It is worth taking the chance that he can come back to form and his trainer’s runners have been showing up well lately.

In the mares handicap hurdle Victoria Bay is a likely winner.

She won nicely at Fairyhouse towards the end of last season and she looks like one that could do better still.

Willie Mullins could end the day with a couple of winners and he could strike first with Easy Gold in the second of the maiden hurdles. Mullins could also win the bumper with Koroleva who was disappointing at Listowel when last seen in action. Gordon Elliott could land the opener with the capable Touch Base and could well follow up with Count Simon later.
