1 killed & 154 hurt in blast

ONE person has been killed and scores injured, some critically, in an explosion at a pro-pm rally in Ethiopia.

New prime minister Abiy Ahmed described it as an “unsuccessful attempt by forces who don’t want to see the country united”.

He was whisked away after the blast, thought to be from a grenade thrown among thousands of people in Addis Ababa’s Meskel Square.
