Curry houses in Brexit argy bhaji
A THOUSAND curry house owners are set to march on Westminster next month – because they are naan too happy with Brexit-backing ministers.
Industry leaders say up to four restaurants close each week because of a shortage of skilled chefs.
They blame strict immigration rules, which state chefs from outside the EU must be paid €33,626 – too much for most restaurants.
And they are furious with MPS who broke promises to relax the rules during Brexit campaigns.
Asian Catering Federation chairman Yawar Khan
Curry dish said Boris Johnson misled the public by saying quitting the EU would let more South Asian workers in.
He said: “Lots of restaurants believed him – but we still have a real problem with a skills shortage.”
The Bangladesh Catering Association added: “We feel let down.”
