Silva keen to land Ruben
EVERTON’S new boss Marco Silva wants England midfielders Ruben Loftus-cheek and Jack Wilshere.
Silva and director of football Marcel Brands, believe they would help transform the club into one ready to challenge again for a Premier League top-six place.
Loftus-cheek (above), loaned by Chelsea to Crystal Palace last season, is expected to be available for another loan period, despite support within Stamford Bridge for the 22-year-old to be given his chance there.
Palace would love to extend his stay while Newcastle are also keen.
But Everton are at the front of the queue – and Silva would like to pair Loftus-cheek with Wilshere who has decided to move on from Arsenal.
