Don’t keep your dogs locked in car during warm spell
ANIMAL lovers are being warned: Take care of your pets in the scorching sunshine.
Not leaving your dog in a parked car, making sure they have shade and ensuring they have enough water to drink should be the main concerns. Dogs Trust has advised walking your pooch at cooler times of the day as they can be vulnerable to heatstroke when exposed to high temperatures.
Gillian Bird of the DSPCA said it is
dangerous to leave dogs in the car too long.
She added: “If you wouldn’t leave a chocolate bar or an ice-cream on the front seat of your car, then that is too hot for your dog.”
