Pair hunted in cash box raid

GARDAI are hunting two brazen thieves who stole a cash deposit box from a supermarket.

The robbers pounced on security van staff as they were collecting cash in Clonee, Co Meath, at around 12.40pm on Friday.

One of the workers was approached by masked pair who had a hammer.

He placed the cash box on the ground and the men grabbed it and ran off.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
