Christine Lampard on dealing with stalker hell

Loose Women host Christine Lampard

But the pregnant Loose Women presenter said she had “come out the other end” after Christof King was found guilty of a campaign of terror lasting nearly three years.

The 39-year-old would-be actor has been bailed until his sentencing on July 27 – so Christine’s mum Mina is making sure she is safe.

Christine, from Co Down, said: “My mum has Find My Friends on my iphone so she can keep track of everything I’m doing.

“I’m 39… if I stay out late she knows about it and where I’ve been. She’s always asking why I stayed out so late.

“But I’ve come out the other end. It wasn’t ideal. I feel safer now.”

Christine had to face King this month at Isleworth Crown Court after he admitted stalking but denied earlier sending her “dark and sinister” tweets.

GRAVE

One message had warned: “I am planning the writing on your gravestone.” Another taunted: “I can hear screeching of the nails as I sharpen them for your crucifixion.”

King, who the court heard had become “utterly obsessed” with Christine, had wanted career advice from the former One Show host.

He also wrote letters and even turned up at her house, forcing her to hide in a bedroom, terrified, with her housekeeper.

Christine told how King had made her life “a misery”. She told police: “I do not go out alone any more, I always go out with someone. I worry about him waiting for me to arrive home.”

Former England and Chelsea FC midfielder Frank, 40, said in his own statement: “It’s made us feel very vulnerable, she became flustered and nervous.

“We’ve had to change our way

Bailing him for psychiatric assessment, Judge Robin Johnson warned him: “I don’t rule out imprisonment. “Those tweets are sinister. He has little insight into the consequence of his actions.” Stalkers who cause serious alarm or distress can be jailed for five years. Since the hearing Christine has been focusing on the birth of her and Frank’s first baby together, which is due on September 25. Admitting her only craving so far has been sleep, she said: “I love to get 12 hours a night now, which I have been doing – but if I can’t get 12 I need a minimum of 10.” She and Frank do not yet know the baby’s sex, but Christine said: “It will be a Libra. I think that means balance – that would be nice. “I just want to make sure it gets here safely, then I’ll be happy. I hope it likes football though – I think it will.” halina.watts@trinitymirror.com
