Cream tease gets Dawn in a Twitter jam

COMIC Dawn French got in a bun-fight on Twitter… over whether to put cream or jam first on a cream tea.

Celebs including Dec Donnelly, James Corden and Davina Mccall piled in after Dawn tried to preserve the Cornish way.

The Vicar of Dibley star pleaded with fans: “On this #Nationalcreamteaday remember, for everyone’s safety...jam FIRST”.

But fellow comic James Corden whey-ed in, saying: “I cannot condone this. CREAM FIRST.”

Then as Davina Mccall insisted “It’s jam first”, the skirmish spread... with Dec Donnelly telling her: “The cream acts like butter.”

Horrified Dawn replied: “Cream is NOT a substitute for butter. Ever. Cream is CREAM. It is the DOLLOP, not the spread.”
