Rewind time as video fan opens store

- BY JOHN KELLY

A FILM fan is so convinced video will make a comeback he has opened up a shop renting out tapes.

Andy Johnson believes they are like vinyl records – popular with young people despite nearly being killed off by CDS.

Andy, 38, also has a number of video recorders which people can hire to play the video tapes on.

His shop, Videodyssey in Liverpool, opened this weekend. One Twitter user described it as an “amazing experience”.

He said: “The majority of people who have found out tell me that I’m mad.

“But I think people like to have something physical they can hold.

“It’s amazing how videos have stood the test of time. They look great, feel great, and they’re built to last.”
