6,000 crowd for movie ‘is biggest ever’
ABOUT 6,000 people answered a casting call by filmmaker Danny Boyle to be part of “the biggest film crowd ever shot” in Britain.
The Oscar-winning director, 61, was shooting a concert scene for a Beatles-inspired film written by Richard Curtis.
Richard’s partner Emma Freud also invited locals and tourists to be extras in Gorleston-on-sea, Norfolk, on Wednesday.
She tweeted: “Shooting big scene. If you are nearby, come and join us. Concert on the roof of the Pier Hotel. Is incredible.”
Boyle, known for Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and Steve Jobs, said it was a “key, iconic” scene.
The unnamed film stars Eastenders’ Himesh Patel and Downton Abbey actress Lily James.
