RTE spending: clarification
RTE have asked us to clarify some points in the last week’s Sunday Mirror story on expenditure on hospitality and wardrobe at the station.
Our sub headline “€75k booze bill to treat celebrity guests” states that this was for alcohol only.
In fact this included non-alcoholic drinks and included the audience.
The figure of €44,970 for wardrobe and €18,300 for hairdressing and make-up for RTE News includes guests, reporters, news readers, and correspondents – and not solely news readers, as stated in Sunday’s story.
We are happy to clarify these points.
