Saved cave lads ‘well but hungry’

- BY AMY SHARPE

FIVE of the 12 boys rescued from a flooded Thai cave show they’re on the way to recovery in hospital yesterday – by demanding food.

The lads, who each lost up to 11lb in their 18-day ordeal, included fried chicken, crispy pork and sushi on their wish-list menus.

All the youngsters wore masks to protect them from infection.

They told of their gratitude and said they are feeling better since the last boy got out on Tuesday, after a rescue involving British and Irish-based divers.

One of them, Duangpetch Promtep, 13, said a big “thank you for all the moral support”.
