- BY KAREN ROCKETT

Spandau’s Martin SPANDAU Ballet’s Martin Kemp says he never wanted to be a star – as a boy, he only dreamed of playing for Arsenal.

The former child actor still secretly fantasises about playing for the club he adores.

Kemp, 58, said: “When I have a kick around with my boy, I still feel someone’s going to spot me.”

He says that his wife Shirlie, a former backing singer with Wham! is still the love of his life after 30 years of marriage.

“Our relationship gets stronger every day – well, it does for me, I haven’t asked her,” he told Guardian Weekend magazine yesterday

“George Michael came on our first date.

“I spent all night trying to get rid of him!” With Frank
