Hue blue the Bastille party

THE annual Bastille Day parade took place in Paris yesterday, with a fly-past that was slightly off-colour.

One of the display team jets left a trail of red smoke that should have been blue in a representation of the French flag.

And that was not the only blunder – two bikers in a police display squad crashed into each other.

The parade marks the storming of the Bastille jail in 1789, which sparked the French revolution.
