Dad charged with killing daughter, 2

A YOUNG father has been charged with the murder of his toddler daughter two years after she died.

Rejwanul Islam, 25, is being held in custody after appearing in court over the death of two-year-old Mariyah Islam.

The girl died of a head injury in March 2016, in Euston, Central London, according to a Metropolitan Police statement.

A postmortem at St Thomas’ Hospital in South London showed the young child had suffered a traumatic head injury.

Islam, of Dagenham, East London, appeared at Highbury Corner magistrates court yesterday and was remanded in custody.
