Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-mars-tered Ps4/xbox One/windows

-

Once you’ve got past the atrocious pun in the title, this is actually a halfdecent game.

As usual, Red Faction delivers a swashbuckling space adventure where you can blast giant holes in the ground and destroy anything in your path.

It’s the year 2125, Mars has been colonised and you’re part of a team of rebels who were once enslaved to mine minerals on the red planet.

You and several other former workers have taken up arms and you’ll use guerrilla warfare tactics to outwit the AI.

Unfortunately, aside from a decent visual upgrade, there’s no real new content added to the game in this remake.

But Red Faction: Guerrilla does retain its original charm and unique gameplay.

If you’ve missed the original completely – or played it and loved it – then it might be

APP worth spending a few quid on.

Just don’t expect it to be out of this world.
