Soaps dish up old favourites... again

Jim Mcdonald is out of prison and heading back to Corrie

-

Ronan Smith a move on Stacey’s brother Sean after the crimes of her mobster dad Johnny were exposed. Louisa returns in early autumn.

Show boss John Yorke said: “Viewers will see a much more mature and confident Ruby who is set to be involved in one of our biggest storylines later this year.”

Speaking of returns, Jim Mcdonald is bound for Weatherfield again.

Jim (Charles Lawson) is out of prison and brings shocking news that his and Liz’s daughter Katie survived after being born prematurely.

Apparently Jim and Liz, right, were told she died but a hospital mix-up resulted in her being brought up overseas.

Now she’s back to track down Ronan Smith and Miriam Brady her birth parents – watch this space. Surely this is a plot step too far for Coronation Street? It’s just the latest in a long line of bizarre storylines. Who can forget Tanya Branning burying her love rat husband Max alive on Eastenders? Oh, and he’s also back. But the longest-running soap Corrie takes the biscuit for wild plots. First we had baddie Alan Bradley killed by a slow-moving tram. Then psycho Freshco’s supervisor Anne Malone died when she was locked in the deep freeze. That’s what you get for trying to frame the object of your affections (Curly Watts) by poisoning a batch of fish fingers with WD-40.
