€8.3m Lotto joy

A LUCKY punter was in the money last night after hitting the jackpot of €8.3million.

Bosses at Lotto HQ in Dublin confirmed the winning ticket was sold in the south.

The good news comes after a player in Waterford woke up a millionaire yesterday in the Euromillions Ireland Only Raffle. Shop manager Patrick Casey said: “There is massive

excitement in the hospital at the prospect of a staff member, visitor or patient being the winner of this huge amount of money.:

The Aramark Shop is very busy with visitors, patients and employees. Patrick added: “There are several syndicates amongst the staff so we are hoping it is somebody connected with the hospital.

“This is our first big Euromillions win so we are over the moon.”
