Bacon vows to quit weed and alcohol
Bacon cured TV host Richard Bacon has promised to quit cannabis and booze after he nearly died last month.
After waking from a week-long coma he says he is re-evaluating life – but still can’t look in the mirror.
Richard, 42, who had a mystery illness, said: “In LA, I’ve been smoking weed. It’s legal over there.
“I’ll be more focused than before. I’ll be a better employee, a better dad.
“I’ll stop drinking, stop the weed. I drink too fast.”
Richard, sacked from Blue Peter in 1998 for taking cocaine, was put in a coma at Lewisham Hospital after hallucinating on a flight from LA to London.
