Fine plan for stubborn bus buggy users
DUBLIN Bus may introduce fines for passengers who refuse to fold up buggies for wheelchair users.
Transport Minister Shane Ross said he will look into bringing in fines for stubborn users, but added he doesn’t feel he should need to.
Last week the Oireachtas Transport Committee called for legislation on the issue after hearing parents are refusing to leave spots every day.
Mr Ross said: “We have increased fines for those using disabled spaces.
“I don’t want to introduce a confrontational culture, but if fines work, let’s do it.”
