Irish flight in leak drama

A TRANSATLANTIC passenger jet was forced to return to Dublin yesterday after a water leak was discovered onboard.

Air Canada flight AC-843 departed the capital at around 1.10pm and was about 40 minutes into its journey when the pilot opted to turn around.

The pilot advised controllers they had a “mechanical problem” and would “have to return to Dublin”.

It’s believed water was discovered dripping close to electrical equipment.
