How I coped with.. a torn kidney

-

I fell from a horse in 2013 and thought I’d just broken my wrist. But at hospital, doctors said I’d also severely torn my kidney.

I had wrist surgery and was in intensive care for a week. Doctors discharged me with instructions to rest. I was warned that my kidney may never recover fully and could even degrade or stop working.

Anxious to prevent this, I spoke to friends and one recommended a microcurrent therapy device called Arc4health which helps boost the healing function of cells. It wasn’t cheap but I wanted to give myself the best chance of recovery.

The device was small and I could strap it to my arm. I was given advice on how to use it for my specific injuries. When I saw the consultant five months later, my kidney had healed fully.

As an added extra, I discovered that it also soothes my migraines and I no longer need to take painkillers for them.
