The majesty of the Norwegian Fjords will be the destination for P&O Cruises’ new flagship Iona on her inaugural season from May, 2020.

Ports of call will include Olden, Bergen, Hellesylt, Geirangerfjord, Stavanger, Alesund and Hardanderfjord on seven-day round-trips from Southampton. Diverse excursions will include light aircraft and helicopter flights over the gorgeous scenery, ziplining, whale watching, RIB rides, cycling, rafting, kayaking and fishing.

A spokesman said: “Iona has been designed to make the sea the star, with incredible views guaranteed from all over the ship.”

The Lng-powered, 180,000 gross tonnage Iona is being built at Mayer Werft yard in Germany and cruises go on sale next month. A sister ship will be delivered in 2022. pocruises.com
