Celtic rally to avoid a week to forget

Rogic spared Celtic’s blushes and averted a third consecutiv­e defeat.

Extra-time goals from Drey Wright, Tony Watt and Callum Hendry put St Johnstone into the last eight against Queen of the South in a 4-2 win.

Watt gave the Premiershi­p side the lead but Queens equalised through Lyndon Dykes. The score was level until the 96th minute when Watt fed Wright before Watt struck again. Stephen Dobbie scored from the spot but Hendry ensured the win.

Olly Lee’s 79th minute strike put Hearts into the last eight 1-0 at Dunfermlin­e. Three goals in 10 first-half minutes saw Aberdeen crush St Mirren for a last eight place. Gary Mackaystev­en hit the opener, Graeme Shinnie headed the second, Stevie May added a third before Mackay-steven completed the Dons rout.
