Batmobile

QAI own a Corgi Batmobile toy car in near perfect condition and in a box which doesn’t look too bad either. I’ve had it since the 1960s and hope you can give me a value. Anthony Barr, Ealing, West London Holy boxed cars, Anthony – you may have something here. It will all come down to condition and whether various extras are present. Ones in near mint condition sell for €375 to €450. The cars are known as model 267 among collectors and while five million were sold there are remarkably few in A1 condition. The original had 12 firing rockets, a flame-throwing rear exhaust and a chain slasher. It’s important to have the badge and secret instructions pack – and the condition of the box itself affects value. My mum has had two Beswick figures for 55 years and she noticed your recent article which featured a Beswick Alice in Wonderland figure. Can you give her an estimate of what her figures may be worth – and any other information? Mo Baggott, via email Beswick, founded in 1894, has a long history of producing collectable figurines including the Beatrix Potter series and the horses, dogs and cats depictions. Yours is part of the National Costume series made in the 1950s and 1960s. Figure 1222 is known as the Polish Girl With Hen and would sell for around €100 in good condition. The other is 1221 and is Polish Girl With Turkey. She’s worth a little less, perhaps €75 or so. Figurine
