RACHEL ATHERTON won the downhill crown at the UCI mountain bike World Cup for a record sixth time in France.

Atherton, 30, began yesterday’s run only needing a top-three finish to win a seasonlong duel with fellow Brit Tahnee Seagrave, but won the stage in style.
