Beef over crisps

LEE BOWYER admitted Charlton fans throwing packets of crisps onto the pitch did not help his side.

Charlton supporters delayed the match in the first minute with their latest protest at the Valley against Belgian owner Roland Duchatelet.

“We were nearly going to score when they threw the packets on the pitch,” he said. “I can’t stop the fans throwing crisp packets onto the pitch. All I can control is what’s happening on the pitch.” Fleetwood manager Joey Barton (inset) was pleased with an unbeaten run of four league games. “Our run is nice but it is a case of one game at a time,” he said.
