Sandi: My QI pay is 60% less than Fry
QI presenter Sandi Toksvig says she is paid less than half of what former host Stephen Fry used to earn for the job.
Toksvig, 60, who took over the BBC2 show in October 2016, said she gets the same as panellist Alan Davies, 52.
She spoke about her pay at a Women’s Equality Party conference in Kettering, Northants, yesterday.
The comedian, whose third QI series as host begins tomorrow, said: “I have recently discovered I get 40 per cent of what Stephen used to get.
“And I get the same pay as Alan Davies, who is not the host.
“I temper this with the fact that I love the show and I’m the first woman to host such a show.”
