Mass trial for Egypt protest

A MASS trial in Egypt has sentenced 122 people over the 2013 pro-muslim Brotherhood protest.

A total of 75 death sentences and 47 life imprisonments were confirmed by the court yesterday.

The protest happened a month after ex-president Mohammed Morsi was ousted by then military chief and current president, Abdel Fatah al-sisi.

Hundreds were killed during the protests.
