Autumn’s brrrrilliant

Get the season wrapped with Avoca

-

WINTER is coming! The evenings are getting shorter and temperatures are definitely cooling as autumn 2018 sets in. But shrug off the gloom with all the wonderful things the new season brings – such as hot chocolate by warm fires in cosy knits and kicking leaves in statement boots with a classic coat.

Forget impulse buys and blow the rent on a closet update, concentrate on the essentials that will effortlessly sync with your year-round, go-to pieces.

One of our favourite places to lunch, Avoca, has also curated one of the most gorgeous AW18 collections on the high street.

If you’re a fan of Diane Von Furstenberg’s iconic wrap dresses – who isn’t? – then you’ll love the new range at the Irish store.

We’re talking timeless, quality pieces in exquisite patterns and bold hues such as the show-stopping Pippa belted dress by Primrose Park, €299.95. We’ve always been a firm believer in spending money on a decent winter coat and the Irish store boasts two hero buys including a teddy bear coat by Samsøe & Samsøe, (€299.95) and the Otte d’amee printed coat (€249.95).

The Avoca range, designed in-house by Liz Quin, is also back for a second season. Signature pieces include the Damson velvet jacket (€269.95), the embroidered maxi Dress with fringed sleeves (€295.95) and an navy faux pony coat (€299).

Bargain hunters can get the look for less at Irish-owned online fashion store iclothing, which has also embraced the winter floral trend.

The dress is Queen again, with dark blooms gracing glamorous frocks in all styles with prices starting from €29.95.

We love the dip-hem midi dress in rich burgundy, a steal at just €44.95.
