How I coped with.. eczema
I’ve suffered with eczema since I was six and have tried every treatment – from traditional medical solutions like topical creams to allergy testing.
I had homeopathic tests, naturopathic treatments and even neuro-linguistic programming therapy. I’ve been on every diet too – from vegan to paleo.
As I got older my eczema started affecting me as much mentally as it was physically. I had problems with sleep and self-esteem.
I threw myself into sport and art to take my mind off it, which both still help. Over the years I learned to manage it in a positive way. A strict diet and medication aren’t for me.
I try to see the beauty in my eczema – it’s my body’s way to telling me what it needs. Avoiding stress and getting enough sleep is key.
I use natural products and avoid gluten, dairy and sugar.
