GUN FOR HIRE

Arsenal Legends 0 R Madrid Legends 0 (Arsenal win 5-3 on penalties)

DAVID O’LEARY took charge of Arsenal legends and enjoyed the occasion so much he wants another crack at management.

His team, which contained ex-gunners stars like Ray Parlour and Robert Pires, beat Real Madrid 5-3 on penalties yesterday in a charity match for the Arsenal Foundation.

Former Leeds and Aston Villa boss O’leary said: “I’ve never had an agent and maybe that has been my downfall.

“If you ask me if I would like another chance to manage a club I would say yes. I’ve had offers, but have been reluctant to accept them because it wasn’t right at the time. I think the time is right now.”

After a goalless 90 minutes keeper Jens Lehmann scored the decisive penalty to give the Gunners victory against Los Blancos.
