WYCOMBE boss Gareth Ainsworth claims that Charlton’s fans would have been impressed with the visitors after their display.

The Chairboys went ahead after six minutes when Randell Williams cut inside to place a shot past keeper Jed Steer. Ainsworth said: “We have real positives to take, but it almost makes my mood worse because the result says they were the better side.

“We had moments at 1-0 where we could have increased our lead, but I don’t think the turning point was the equaliser, it was for Taylor’s goal.

“After that, the body language from our side changed.

“However, I think Charlton fans would have certainly been impressed with us as I’m sure they would have thought that it was going to be an easier game than it was. We competed handsomely with Charlton.
