Doctors call time on FA’S link to drink
DOCTORS have accused the English FA of an own goal over beer sponsorship deal with the side.
The British Medical Association said the link with Bud Light was likely to spur the young to drink.
England stars Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Ashley Young are fronting the ad campaign.
The BMA’S Dr Paul Darragh claimed Bud has a “track record” of targeting young people.
UK government alcohol tsar Sir Ian Gilmore quit this week over Public Health England promoting “drink-free days” with a charity largely funded by the alcohol industry,.
The FA said: “The Budweiser sponsorship respects all industry guidelines on promotion of safe and responsible drinking.”
