Talk TV Thriller shines light on deaths from Rwanda

If you haven’t started watching

on BBC Two then get the first couple of episodes under your belt before it airs again tomorrow. The war crimes thriller starring Michaela Cole, John Goodman, below, and Harriet Walter will make your head spin. Baftawinning Hugo Blick is the writer behind one of this tensest of dramas. The drama follows Kate Ashby, a woman who was rescued as a child during the genocide in Rwanda and brought to the UK. The series shines a light on the slaughter of an estimated 800,000 Rwandans in the space of 100 days, Black Earth Rising continues on BBC Two, tomorrow, at 9pm.
