I own a banana-shaped Ericofon telephone handset with a round dial on the underside. It is bright red and matches phones I have seen in 1960s TV classic The Prisoner. And it’s in pretty good shape too. Michael Forbes, Cheltenham, Glos This cult collectable by LM Ericsson of Sweden is considered to be one of the great plastic designs. While it lends itself to the look of the 1960s, it was actually created in the ‘40s and made available to buy in the mid-50s. Amazingly, it only found its way into this country in the early ‘80s. Yours is worth €100-€150 in good condition.
