Hazard: I wanted to quit for La Liga
EDEN HAZARD has admitted he wanted to quit Chelsea in the summer to seal his “dream” move to La Liga.
And, even though the Belgian stayed put amid interest from Real Madrid, he confessed he could still leave Stamford Bridge within the next couple of years.
In an interview with BT Sport ahead of the Blues’ clash with Liverpool, Hazard said: “I’ll tell you the truth. After the World Cup, I wanted to leave – it’s my dream to play in Spain.
“There is the possibility that I can leave in a year or two.
“But I love Chelsea and the city. It will be easy to stay at Chelsea. This club is now part of my life.”
