Women face triple threat

Nearly half of women will be diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, develop dementia or suffer a stroke in their lifetime.

A 30-year study at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, found women are much more likely to be affected than men.

But it said a healthy lifestyle could “substantially” reduce the burden of the illnesses.
