Biopic shines light on Elton row with mum
Elton John ELTON John’s troubled relationship with his late mum will be tackled in a new biopic about his life.
The star healed his nineyear rift with Sheila Farebrother before she died aged 92 last December.
Elton’s husband David Furnish, 55, an executive producer on the film, said: “It’s about the early days of his career and his mother was pivotal to all of that.”
Sheila will be played by Bryce Dallas Howard, 37, while Taron Egerton, 28, stars as Elton.
The singer, 71, got back in touch with Sheila nine years after they fell out.
