IN PER-SUIT

- BY JOHN RICHARDSON

JOSE MOURINHO is ready to renew his interest in Croatian stars Ivan Perisic (left) and Ante Rebic in a clear message to Old Trafford executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. Mourinho is still fuming over the club’s summer failure to bring in his targets – a central defender and a goalscoring wide player. Inter Milan’s Perisic and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Rebic were both considered but United refused to pay the asking price of £48million for Perisic and £40m for Rebic. The Portuguese believes that with either in the side the supply to Romelu Lukaku would have been improved. It’s why he’ll demand that Woodward makes a serious attempt to land one of them in January or next summer.
